My review of those pesky Amazon leggings that I won’t shut up about on my Instagram stories. In short: awesome. You will find yourself cleaning out your legging section of your closet. They are, in fact, that good.
Don’t worry. I was skeptical too. How good could they be, right? Well the answer is that they give the Lululemons ones a run for their money. They stay in place, the fabric is like butter and the high rise is the perfect length and I love a 7/8. After becoming an early adopter of the 7/8, capri length just doesn’t cover it for me. And I find that my ankles are too skinny and my legs too short to make full length work.
At $25, they really are worth the try. I ordered the two different styles, one in navy and one in black, just to check them out. I figured if they were awful, I would donate them. Welp, the second I got them {the next day} I order three more pairs and cleaned out my legging drawer.
The different styles:
With Phone Pocket
While I don’t often workout anymore where I need a place for my phone, I thought I would try these out. Plus, it has been years since buying plain black leggings, so I thought it would be a little treat. I used to run outside all the time, at least 2-3 times a week, where this hip phone pocket would be awesome, especially now with ear pods. But with so much running in OrangeTheory, my outdoor runs don’t really happen often. And in the gym, I just put my phone on the ground near me. But this would be great for walks or outdoor workouts.
The fabric, for whatever reason, on these is a bit tighter, thicker, holds you in more. I felt more compression without having to sacrifice with a thicker fabric. These are the ones I reordered
Without Pockets
These, I bought in navy, duh and were the first ones I tried and started this little love affair. They are so soft and delicious. I really don’t have anything bad to saw about them. The other one’s just seem to be a slightly stronger fabric, but both are still great. I have washed both, hang to dry, and worn for multiple workouts in the short time I have owned them. So far, they are holding up and get two thumbs way up from me!

Saturday:
Sweat App: I didn’t even know this, but I completed 12 weeks of Fierce 2.0 on the Sweat App. This is a bit more weight lifting than the tradition BBG program, but I love it for days that I don’t get to a class. Then I don’t really have to talk myself into much and can just follow the exercises and kind of zone out but still get a great workout. I just change some of the exercise if I am working out at home. For example: If I am at home, instead of at the gym, and it calls for a tricep dip, I will do this on the edge of this. If it calls for a bench tricep dip, yet I’m at the gym, then I will do a tricep pull down on the pulley system.
Sunday:
6am OrangeTheory class: I’ve found that, while crazy to get up at 5:30am on a Sunday, this is the best way to make sure to get my workout in before getting to church. Don’t worry: we are still about 10-29 minutes late…
Monday:
6am OrangeTheory class: Never miss a Monday!
Tuesday:
Back to Back OrangeTheory classes: I do this while Leo is in school. There is just enough time if to drop the cuties off and get to class, do two and leave about 2 minutes early to be back on time to pick Leo up. Check out last week’s post on my schedule to get them to school and me to class on time.
Wednesday:
CorePower Yoga Sculpt Class: I honestly only went to stretch my hip flexors, but I looooved the teacher’s energy and the person next to me had really positive energy and were fun to keep up with.
Thursday:
Back to Back OrangeTheory classes
Friday:
I took the day off. I figured that this would be ok after 6 OTF classes already this week.
Saturday:
OrangeTheory – just one class today!
