Welcome Back to Workout Wednesday! I am loving getting back to these posts to both share, and hopefully motivate, but also to track what I’m doing each day. Working out is my #2 priority, right behind my family, so I like seeing all my hard work in these weekly blog posts.

This week, I wanted to share some new cute workout clothes I picked up. {hoping to get to a Try On today in my IG stories, and if I do, I will save it to my profile under Highlights.} As I mentioned in this blog post about getting and staying motivated to workout at home, cute new clothes is an easy way to get motivated.

This is where I share my favorite classes from the week.

- 20 min House Run with Olivia Amato {from 10/8/20}
Apparently, I was feeling the Tabata this week! {This is where your exertion time is double your recovery. Think 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off, or 30 seconds on, 15 seconds off. The idea is to give 110% in the exertion, yet to be focused on the recovery. Do what you have to do in the recovery time to be able to really push yourself in the work time.}
And one, one! running class and now I’m saving my pennies for a treadmill. {that, or entering the daily Instagram Loop giveaways giving them away…} Even if we have no current place to even put it…

20 min indoor interval run
- Warm up with a moderate pace {5.5-5.8 mph} for 1-2 minutes
- Each minute, change speed
- Change each interval with fast and slow, not repeating a speed.
- For example
- 2 min warm up
- 1 min : 6 mph
- 1 min : 6.5 mph
- 1 min : 5.7 mph
- 1 min : 6.2 mph
- 1 min : 5.5 mph
- 1 min : 6.1 mph
- 1 min : 5.8 mph
- 1 min : 6.8 mph
- 1 min: 5.9 mph until time
- I’m trying to do this kind of interval training 3-5 times a week now

5 min Happiness Meditation with Aditi Shah {from 12/7/20}
This was my first day off of working out since November 1st. I felt like I’ve really been pushing it lately and a day off felt needed. The day ended with me doing the mediation so that I still get “credit” for doing a Peloton class every day. Cheating, probably. Success, yes!

20 min Tabata Peloton Ride with Ally Love {from 1/15/21} – I had to end this early since my new washing machine delivery was early!
15 min Tabata Peloton Ride with Hannah Frankson {from 11/18/20} – I only had 15 minutes until I had to leave to pick up the kids.
After taking the previous day off from working out, I felt like I had to do a little of everything. And it felt amazing. Please remind me of this: to take days off more often.

20 min House Run with Olivia Amato {from 10/8/20} – we don’t have the Peloton tread, so I just listened and watched the class on my phone and ran on our treadmill. And now I want the treadmill more than ever!

20 min EDM Run outdoor with Matt Wilpers {from 1/22/21}
5 mile total run – I needed to complete a Peloton workout today, so I started my run with the Peloton class on my phone. The outdoor running class is only audio and I cannot recommend these enough. You feel like you have a professional running coach with you {you DO!}.

Running on the treadmill for intervals
HIIT 20 Minute Treadmill Workout
- walk for 30 seconds
- come to a slow jog for 30 seconds
- 5.7-6mph for 1 minute
- You will be switching it up by running for a full minute with 30 second recovery. You have to keep an eye on the clock. The good news is, this makes the time go qucikly
- minute 1:30-2:30 : 6.3mph
- 2:30-3 : 5.8 mph
- minute 3-4 : 6.5 mph
- 4-4:30 : 5.9 mph
- 4:30-5:30 : 6.7 mph
- 5:30-6 : 5.6 mph
- and so on…
There are no real rules. Do what you want! But I try to get to 7.5mph + before 10 minutes and finish with at least one 8 mph sprint. Switch it up! Go all over the place with your speeds. Work in invclines {ours on our treadmill just broke}, have fun! Workout because you love your body, not because you hate it!
