Summer is here! Truth be told, it feels like summer year around, both culturally and most of the time, with the weather in San Diego. If you aren’t new around here, you know that sunshine is like my least favorite weather, which is a bummer, since it is basically a personality trait living in Southern California. With kids, I’ve actually fallen in love with summer time. The extra time, lazy days and lots of pool time…what’s not to love?
This is the first year that both kids will be in summer camps. Plus, we have a bunch of travel plans. {The British Virgin Islands and Utah!} But I am already looking forward to those weeks where I have nothing planned except extra snuggles and enjoying the pool!
1 – Amazon Coverup
This $25 coverup is even better in person. Since I live in San Diego, my arms are constantly in the sun: driving my car, outdoor runs, you name it! So I love that this one has long sleeves but in a deliciously soft and light fabric. Chances are that if you are needing a cover up, you are in a warm climate. Chances are that if you are in a warm climate, you don’t want to overheat. Plus, this coverup is beyond cute and flattering. {I wore it recently to Mexico and got stopped at the pool by people not in our group asking where I got it!}
2 – Wet Bags
These were a life and diaper bag saver when we were in the diaper bag season. I have them personalized for each of us {Green for Leo, purple for Madrid and blush for me!} and used them daily. While they no longer hold diapers, favorite toys and emergency changes of clothes, they are still extremely useful and I plan on using them for our upcoming travel to keep carry ons organized.
They also make amazing gifts, kids not required.
3 – Our Place Pan
I got this for the moms in my life for Mother’ Day, and on for myself. Let me tell you: game changer! If you are low on space, and even if you aren’t, this pot does it all. And it’s chic enough to leave on your stove. Love all the colors it comes in, but I got blue. Duh.
My air has never held a curl very well, except for while pregnant with my first when it was actually curly. I’ve tried, and have, hundreds and a handful, respectively, of curling irons. I recently have gone back to this tried and true one that I got at Target for $XX. My hair is fine and I don’t have a bunch, so I just clamp the hair and can immediately let it go for the perfect curl. Let the curls cool before brushing. For whatever reason, the hair on my right side always holds a curl so much better than the left side. So I immediately brush this side. {check my stories and I can do a little tutorial and will save it under my ‘Beauty’ highlight!}
Bike shorts season is upon us! In case you missed it, I discovered, fell in love with and bought all the bike shorts I could find this time last year. These, {also come in solid colors here} are so soft, yet comfortable. I get a S! The fabric is to die/dye for and they look equally cute with a sports bra for working out or with an oversized tee {this one is the best} for lounging.
