Like everyone else this past year, I found my stride working out from home. Yes, I miss the gym and workout classes {I was pretty much bleeding orange with how much I was going to ORangeTheory pre quarantine}. Yet, in attempts to look at things with the glass half full perspective, there has been some improvements in my workout journey during this time. I re fell in love with outdoor running, I joined the Peloton cult and realized you don’t need much to workout at home.

ALTRA RUNNING SHOES – I found these a couple of months ago and am about to order a back up pair. Not only are they cute {a big priority with work out shoes}, but I like how light they are. I also always recommend these to inquiring minds about good outdoor running shoes.
SOCKS – While $15 seems like a bunch for a pair of socks, I am really telling you, to try them. They will change your game and make you realize that there can be a huge difference in socks.
FOAM ROLLER – need to be better about this on the outside of my thighs and my but/hip after long runs. Also love using for my lower back and the front of my thighs.
SILICON AIRPOD CASE – I tend to only run with one AirPod in at a time {for safety and I recommend you do the same}. But I couldn’t survive without these as they help me not lose my AirPods. And after trying AirPods once, you will also need these for any workout thereafter.
SUNCREEN – my favorite! Super light and effective, non toxic and a local San Diego company! I have these all over the house and car.
LULULEMON JACKET – I normally wear a sports bra, tank and this jacket layered over. Not only does it provide the perfect layer, but if I need to take it off, it isn’t too cumbersome tied around my waist. {layer with a puffer vest in the cooler temps. And take advantage of those hand cuffs.} While I love Lululemon, I’ve found this one is great Amazon price point alternative. BRB! Ordering so I can report back…
BASEBALL CAP – mine all tend to be from places I’ve been, but I never run without a hat. Layer it with a cashmere beanie for the cooler or early temperatures.
MASSAGE BALL – while this looks and sounds naughty, they are beyond useful for hip flexor injuries or bum check soreness. Also great for rolling out the calves.
HIGH RISE LEGGINGS – perhaps my greatest Amazon find, ever, these leggings are beyond! You literally can’t tell the difference between them and a much more expensive pair and I love a hip iPhone pocket.
WORKOUT FACE MASK – while technically not from Amazon, there are countless face mask options on the site. These are THE best and only masks I run in. I’ve done all the heavy lifting for you and tried countless face masks those early quarantine months. Trust me on these!
RUNNING BELT – I found myself not wearing my countless leggings that didn’t have a hip pocket on my long runs. I find this belt extremely useful. There are separate pockets and a clip for your keys. The band is elastic and thin, making it lie flat on your body. You won’t even realize you are wearing it and it definitely doesn’t bounce around. Coming from someone that is extremely easy to be bothered by the tiniest distraction on my person while I’m running, this is a good one!
