It is crazy to me that podcasts are a big deal. But it is also crazy to me that this is a new concept: on demand radio. Either way, I’m addicted. It is extremely difficult to empty the dishwasher, fold laundry to clean and straighten up my office without an intriguing one in my ear. {see my original Podcast Recommendation Post HERE.}

So many from my first podcast post {found HERE} are what I will recommend to anyone that asks. {I think “The Dropout” and “Gladiator” are my favorite.}
Here is an updated list of what I am listening to:
1 – “Monster: DC Sniper”
I’m not quite sure where I was when this was happening…but I don’t remember much of this period. {that is a lie. I knew that I was living in Texas, but I guess my college self thought that this wasn’t much of risk to me in Fort Worth, TX}. To become a podcast that I will recommend and remember along my ever growing list, the production value must be really high and listen like a story, even if I prefer non fiction. This checks all those boxes. Suspenseful and real. Real Scary.
2 – “WeCrashed”
The way that this is produced matches the fruitiness of the founder of WeWork. Each episode is less than 30 minutes with at least two commercial breaks, so this is great for binge listeners that don’t have hours and hours. It gave my Frye Festival vibes.
3 – “Detective Trapp”
Don’t listen to this if you scare easily. It listens like a True Crime, suspensful non fiction case, focusing on one of the few female homicide detectives, Detective Trapp. There are some details from this podcast that I still don’t understanding, especially focusing on the criminal justice system, but I couldn’t listen enough to know what happened.
4 – “Broken: Jeffrey Epstein”
Please don’t tell me I’m the only one totally riveted, confused, angry, intrigued by everything Epstein? This gives you an insight look into Epstein.
5 – “The Mysterious Mr. Epstein”
This focuses more on everything that lead up to him breaking into the headlines. While this podcast and the one before, are obviously, about the same subject matter, I didn’t feel that one took away from the other. I listen to and recommend them both.
6 – “The Shrink Next Door”
This story is unbelievable. You will, literally, be asking yourself “WTF?!” out loud, multiple times. Not scary and not murder, if my other suggestions are too dark.
Here is the complete list, from both of my podcast blog posts, if you prefer to screenshot and enjoy later:
{in no particular order}
- “The Dropout”
- “Royally Obsessed”
- “Dr. Death”
- “Gladiator”
- “Dirty John”
- “American Scandal”
- “Monster: DC Sniper”
- “WeCrashed”
- “Detective Trapp”
- “Broken: Jeffrey Epstein”
- “The Mysterious Mr. Epstein”
- “The Shrink Next Door”
