Workout Wednesday: my running shoes

I laughed off my chair when I realized that Reagan is trying to get in the photo shoe selfie too….

I run so often and go to OrangeTheory 3-6 times a week, so my shoes get a lot of mileage and quick. I have been loving these, because the color is fun and they are super duper light weight. I am due for another pair of running shoes and have been eyeing and reading reviews on these. But if I can track down a orange or navy pair of the ones I am wearing here, then that would be a no brainer.

Saturday:

Off- we were in LA for Fernando’s business. I told myself that I would workout in the afternoon. Then I was quickly reminded why I don’t like to workout in the afternoon: I was already dressed and showered, had a glass of wine with lunch and was ready for a nap. You need to find out what works best for you to get a workout in consistently and make it a priority. If you feel the way I do in the afternoon, especially on the weekends, wake up early or make your workout the first thing you do in the morning.

Off-It was one of those days that I woke up, put on workout clothes {like every other day} and thought that I would get to a workout after drop off. Yet, once at breakfast, both of my cuties were coughing like smokers so we quickly changed our morning plans to get a Doctor’s appointment. After being there all morning, and dealing with the stress of a pneumonia, yes, pneumonia diagnosis, I took a nap when the kids napped and skipped my workout.

Even though I had already taken off a day this week, I figured I had already signed up for an OrangeTheory class the next morning and had three back to back classes. I prefer to not take a day off, it helps with my internal body image struggles, I knew that it was best for me this day.
