1 – TIE DYE BOXY SWEATSHIRT – Without fail, every time I wear this, {at least once a week}, on InstaStories, I get asked about it. I am shocked that it is still in stock as it was one of my first tie dye purchases. And you now know I have a closet full of tie dye. Size up for a boxier fit and you will be surprised where it is from!
2 – PROTEIN PANCAKES – After seeing these on @StyleHawking I knew I had to try. I’ve been a Tone It Up fan for years {see my post about it HERE} and have tried their protein powders, products and meal plans in the past. You can top the pancakes with, truly, anything you like, but I currently love them topped with almond butter and raspberries.
Protein Pancake Recipe {this is a double recipe, which I always do. Then keep them in the fridge and pop them in the toaster when you are ready to eat.}
1 soft banana
Cinnamon
2 scoops of Protein Powder {single serving is 1/2 banana and 1 scoop}
3 egg whites
Almond/ Oat Milk or Water until consistency is water-y enough
3 – THINGS WE DO IN QUARANTINE TO KEEP A SCHEDULE – I talked all about this in my first quarantine post {read it HERE}. Yet, as this has gone on longer than even I thought, keeping “A” schedule isn’t realistic. My moods are up and down, some days we have constant dance parties, sometimes cleaning the kitchen gets me so overwhelmed, I sit on the floor for an hour. Therefore, having one schedule every day isn’t realistic. Plus, as a propetual tardy person, this thought alone makes me feel like I’m running late. So here are a couple of things that we are doing to keep some structure to our days.
- Honor the Days of the Week.: We treat the weekends like weekends and the days of the week as work days. My husband’s work schedule is to blame/ get the credit for this. He has normal 8:30am-6pm hours, and then normally works again after the kids’ bedtime. During the weekend, we get him all day! This deters from each day being like the last and something to look forward to: weekend brunch and booze.
- Working Out Every Day.: My husband and I both take our workouts seriously. If you saw either of us in person, you might be surprised, as we enjoy our booze and pizza. Working out for us is much more for longterm health and current sanity. I’ve always preferred to workout in the morning, almost to get it “done.” Therefore, we keep our pre quarantine schedule of alternating days of who wakes up early to workout and who does the breakfast dance with the kids. Getting outside alone once a day has been my saving grace.
- Communicate.: Our family philosophy has many things, but communication is high up there. We have had disagreements during this time and stress, yes. But I would not say that they have been anymore than other times in our lives. The stress, yes, of course, but we’ve used this experience to come together in our stress, instead of being upset with the other because we are stressed.
4 – KRISTIN ESS SHAMPOO – While I haven’t really shut up much about my new hair discovery {seen in this Friday Five Post}, I still recently picked up more of this shampoo on my last Target run. It has the feel of a luxury shampoo without the cost. Recently they added new items for different hair types. The smell is beyond divine. When I use the conditioner on my kids’ hair, I find myself sniffing it all the time. {awkward, but cute.}
5 – DISTRESSED DENIM SHORTS – As we creep closer to summer, whatever that season is going to look like, I see more and more bloggers on my feed swearing by the same designer denim shorts that are well over $100. As I’ve said before, wearing shorts make me extremely self conscious and something I avoid. Until I found these. These are the only non workout shorts I own and wear. I like the mix of the distressed look with the cuffed hem and the longer inseam while still having the classic and flattering high rise. And the best part? They are under $70.

Five Beauty Items I Purchased During Quarantine That I Will Buy Again

- Thomas Roth Face Mask – love that is goes on clear and you get so much

- Elemis Resurfacing Facial Pads – these are magic and they are on sale this weekend! Use them after washing your face.
I will do an entire post next week about what I’m keeping and what I’m returning from the Sephora Sale.
Five Memorial Day Sales I’m Shopping
I got super overwhelmed just thinking about looking into sales to include here. But then I realized I just need to include items I’m currently shopping for, not everything.
We are currently designing and decorating our backyard that we remodeled at the end of last year. While we probably won’t be having people over to enjoy, this doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy! {and our new dining room table gets delivered today!}
Elemis
As I mentioned above, I’m in love with these pads. A recommendation from @Being_Bridget and she also swears by this face cream. Going to get more pads and try the face cream this weekend.
Abercrombie
40-60% off the entire site. I love their lace camisoles and open front cardigans. I haven’t tried their jeans, but people swear by them!
Lululemon
Up to 50% off of their “We Made Too Much” Section. I highly recommend filtering out the selection by your size, product you’re looking for and any color preference.
Pottery Barn
Up to 50% outdoor. As we are currently looking to outfit our outdoor space, I will be shopping this sale for the outdoor living space area. It is shocking, shocking!, to me how much outdoor furniture can cost. And you know I love shopping an online sale! Plus, we just got our son’s bunk bed from here, so I can kind of loving this brand right now…even if they are trying to take all my money.
If you are wanting a backyard furniture re do, but this time is not the best. Keep an eye on stuff you like, as it all tends to get marked down by Labor Day.
West Elm
Always love their design knick knacks and entertainment ware. Up to 60% off. Will also be checking out their outdoor sofas.
Other Memorial Day Sales Worth Mentioning
American Eagle – 20%+ off everything. 30-50% off Aerie collection. Two words. Bike. Shorts
Crate & Barrel – up to 50% off Summer Accessories. I will be checking out their outdoor serving ware and glasses.
Mango – 30% off everything.
Ray-Ban – 20% off selected eyewear
Revolve – sale up to 65% off. I always filter by size and price I want to spend. Great selection, but items on this site run from $10-$600+
Wayfair – up to 70% off Memorial Day clearance. This is where our current backyard couches are from. We originally bought them for a side patio, and they are too small for the new space. We were able to get an entire outdoor set for cheaper than a chair at other places.
