Archie is HERE!!!

As you’ve seen on my Instagram stories from this week, I am so overwhelmed by excitement and overall amazing emotions, that they are just spilling out from my heart in the form of tears coming out of my eyes! If you’ve been living under a rock, Meghan & Harry’s baby was born Monday and we got a historic moment of a photocall yesterday. The moment was special, historical and totally “them.” I have broken down the appearance, second my second on my Royal account @RoyalistLoyalist Instagram stories.

While I could talk, and write, about everything that this week has been, let’s get to the question: what was she wearing!?! Her dress, naturally was custom, with a message: it is from a British designer, who is also biracial. Yet, it will be nearly impossible to get our hands on the exact dress, not to mention to be able to afford the price tag, so I’ve linked options below:

Trench Coat Dress

As stated above, her clothes send a message of inclusively, girl power and timeless style. A trench is the bespoke British fashion item, thanks to Burberry Trench Coats having a cult following.

This is not the first time we’ve seen Meghan in a trench dress. She was seen in this blush sleeveless trench coat dress, after her wedding, during a time when she was seen in the color back to back to back. And again during a Royal Tour in a white sleeveless cocktail version, again in a black mini version when seeing Hamilton, and again in a loose navy version at her first appearance with the fab four during a forum talk.

Fun Fact: I was quite fat in college, and I found a classic black Burberry trench in my size, at the time, and couldn’t resist. Purchasing the same coat today, I would have purchased it 4 sizes down, {yep. 4. I really liked my beer and late night meals in college.} Yet, I will never get rid of it. It is a classic and I’ve worn it all over the world, in all weather. 

3 Stone Necklace

Duh! The necklace is to represent the new family of 3! And in a shade of blue for Little Master Archie. Meghan has always loved delicate jewelry, making it an integral part of her style. {see my posts about her Meghan Markle’s delicate rings} The exact necklace is from Jennifer Meyer and has sold out, but I’ve found a bunch of similar options in all price points, like this one for under $100.

Fun Fact: In Suits, Meghan’s character, Rachel Zane, always worn dainty jewelry, layering rings, much like our beloved Duchess. All jewelry her character wore on the show was from Meghan’s personal collection, giving the jewelry, and her character, a personal touch. 

Classic Pumps

A Duchess style staple, this classic pump can easily work for early morning coffee dates, girls night out and duh, introducing your son, 7th in line to the British Throne, to the world. Meghan and Kate both love this pointy toe classic, wearing them during endless occasions. I have mentioned, and linked, to this suede pointy toe pair endless times. I find them comfortable, I’ve worn them countless times for hours on end without needing a break. I also love the lower heel, the cut out, d’Orsay style and the colors they come in. While every Royalist Loyalist would love a pair of Manolo Blahniks, {I personally don’t have any in my closet}, this style is so timeless, you can easily get the look at all price points.

Fun Fact: Kate’s Go-To shoe designer, L.K. Bennett has recently declared bankruptcy and is closing all their stores. Yet, she wears this style of shoe all the time but never has been seen in Manolo Blahniks, whereas Meghan has them in multiple colors. This must be an American thing and don’t underestimate the power of Carrie Bradshaw’s love of Manolo Blahniks. They are still such a Cinderella shoe, in my mind, thus the lack of any paris of them in my closet.
