What I bought last week was 100% proof that I, while I complain about the sunshine and brag about how much I love London weather, I really might be a bit excited for summer. Here is what I bought last week and what I was/ am thinking…
Top || Jeans || Heels
- Smocked Floral Top – this is the cutest thing ever. I wasn’t in love with this print in the box when it arrived, but once I put it on, I justified to myself to keep both color ways. I am wearing a S, and really think, due to the smocking, that it would work on all body types and breast sizes. Thanks to 2+ years of breastfeeding, I will still be wearing a strapless bra…
- White Loafers – Yep. I do already own a pair. And yes, 2 years ago, I originally bough the Gucci ones but thought I should give these a try. I wear them year around and with everything. I have irrational fears, all day long, so naturally, I recently got paranoid that these would be discontinued, or whatever, so I bought a back up pair. Size a 1/2 size down. I got a 6 1/2.
- Floral Midi Dress – While prints are not my thing, I literally, jumped through my computer screen to buy this. I love the print and the shape and immediately pictured myself in a field with my family in it. Fingers crossed I don’t look pregnant in it. {this one is a bit more my style but I will report back with a bunch of Swipe Ups when the original one arrives.}
- Clear Strap Block Heel Sandal – I am all about giving trends a try, but ones that I find more trendy, or less my style, I want to take them for a spin on a budget. I got these for a wedding this weekend and at $50, I am ok if I only wear them this summer. I took them for a try out on a recent date night and I was both shocked and awed about how comfortable they are. Madrid did ask if when I walk, my shoe was going to fall off…
- ‘La Cocina’ Cookbook – I am so proud of my cousin for writing this book and telling these women’s stories. Even if you aren’t a chef, don’t like to cook, or just not into this type of thing, this book is still so beautiful as decoration, for your kitchen or office {I’m about to order another one to keep in my office!}.
