– BRIXTON HAT – I’ve always had a hard time finding hats that I not only like, but fit my large head. This classic straw hat is always a best seller throughout the summer when it is practically attached to my head. The colors and price are not to be beat. I wear this on walks, the pool, in the backyard to shield my face when hanging out or working out and everywhere in between. All the places that I could find it is linked below. {this listing has the best price and most color options.}
– PATIO FURNITURE – If you saw my desk dance party last night, I was very excited to check off some major decisions that have been on my To Do list at home. One was picking, “designing” and ordering all the items for Leo’s big boy room. { Don’t judge. I mean…do, if you want. This is long overdo. } AND measuring and deciding what to do with out new backyard’s outdoor living space. This was, no joke, completed at the end of 2019, and was supposed to be done September 2019, so I don’t know what was the delay. I think there was such a change, {yes, I will be sharing ‘Before’ and ‘After’s} that we kind of just wanted to enjoy the space. And you know that I’ve been enjoying the space if you follow me on IG. That is where I take most of my IG photos with this iPhone tripod and this Bluetooth iPhone remote. You will be seeing the space a ton, especially since we just hung tea lights yesterday! The will be a total dream! Now, who is coming over?!? Oh, wait…
– MINIVAN PICNICS – Personally, I don’t really understand people who can’t chill during this quarantine. Yes, we all miss concerts. Yes, we all miss our friends. Yes, we are all spoiled here in the US that we can get anything, anything, delivered or at the store whenever we want and now it is a little more difficult. And yes, we all miss our friends and family. But following the rules for the better of everyone else isn’t, and hasn’t been that big a deal. OMG, YES! I get overwhelmed like everyone else, but its not from being at home. Its from the change. As a way to mix it up, a couple of times, like twice, we have gotten lunch to go and reversed my minivan somewhere with a view and had a little “picnic” in the back of the minivan, me and the kiddos. A nice little change of pace I highly recommend and then I also get a break from cooking. There is also the added bonus of supporting my local favorite restaurants. Minivan nor kids required! Get lunch for yourself or you and your quarantine buddy and go park with a view!
– CLEAR FACE MASK – I made it a point, early on in quarantine, to make use of all my face masks during this time. {see my post about My Favorite Face Masks} While, I love a great face mask, and by now, my family is used to seeing me in an oddly colored mask or sheet mask at anytime, there is something to be said about a clear mask. This one goes on and drys clear and is quickly becoming a favorite.
– HAIR TINT – If you are new here, I’m slightly lost when it comes to hair. Not only did I not start blow drying my hair until Junior year of college, but please refer to any given IG story. I never got professional highlights until I was in my super late 20s and so far, have still only gotten them like 5 times. So it was fun, and slightly unexpected, for me to change it up at the end of last year and go “blonde ish.” My hair is naturally a dark strawberry blonde. But thanks to life and aging, I started tinting it darker about 4 years ago thanks to grey hairs. So it was fun to try “blonde ish” out with more an overall blond highlighted look, with blending to avoid, what I personally hate: dark roots with blond highlights. We originally did this look, thinking it would be not hard to keep up, grow out nicely and help the grey blends. Well, quarantine happened, and not only did the look we weren’t going for happen, but the blonde got super blonde. I was apprehensive to try this hair tint. But after staring at it for a week on my vanity, I tried it this week! I got the light brown color and it made my hair a little more of my natural color, blended out the super light blonde highlights and left my hair super shiny. While I don’t know enough to know if it is the formula, or the color I chose, but it isn’t a super big change to my natural strands. Instead, it tone down the oversaturated highlights. I know I’m not the only ones dealing with this hair issue, so I would highly recommend this.
