Welcome to my series, The Friday Five! Where we will be sharing five things that I either shopped for or thought about this week. {See my Social Distancing Heavy posts HERE and HERE.}
White Tunic Sweater || High Waisted Jeans || Old Skool Sneakers
1 – TIE DYE SWEATS : Omg. Please, I really think I need an intervention. I cannot stop buying any sweats or sweatshirts that are tie dye! I just ordered this set to match with my bestie on our FaceTime calls and I’m obsessed with this $80 dress that will easily hide my quarantine body. {hi, all the carbs and all the sweets.} Check my IG stories with swipe up options and on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app. Check out this under $40 set!
2- SHOPPING SMALL : I have a #ShopSmall post coming up with some local San Diego companies and many that you can order online. But the easiest way to shop small is UberEats! Find a bakery, sandwich shop, pizza place, etc. on the app that is NOT a chain and order from them. Not only are you helping out a local restaurant, but you are also giving the driver business. I just meet them outside and tell them to leave the food on the steps. I come inside and immediately unload the bag, discard the bag and wipe down the surface. The only safety issue would be the bag, since your driver is not touching or packaging your food. Those at the restaurant that are, are making precautions and wearing masks, gloves, etc.
3- EASTER : We normally go to Palm Springs for Easter every year. This will actually only be my third year missing it in my 36 years. The traditions and being with my family is the hardest part. But I’ve had to take on the roll of Easter Bunny this year. {normally, everyone gets little things and I only have to supplement}. Good things I remember and ordered all this stuff for the kids, including pre-filled eggs!
4- STRETCHING MORE : If you’ve been here a while, you know that I love to run {it is part of my IG bio} and am obsessed with OrangeTheory. During this quarantine, I’ve been running outside more and my knees and lower back are killing me! What I remember from previous time of joint soreness, it is rarely the part of your body that hurts that is the problem. Because my knee hurts, I’ve been making sure to stretch my calves, use the foam roller on my IT band {the outer side of your thigh} and using this massage gun on my quads. Viola! My knee pain has felt better. If you are or aren’t working out at home, give yourself a little more time to stretch. It feels so nice and will help with any aches and pains.
5- CHLOE SNEAKERS – I shared these on my IG stories pre Coronavirus week and they somehow caught my eye again. Still just as overpriced as Golden Goose, but a little cleaner, if you are one of those people that don’t quit understand the idea of overpaying for dirty sneakers. Seems a little silly, shopping for this kind of thing when I’m only wearing my sneakers or slippers around the house, {except for those 3 times I put on my Golden Goose}, but still cute and still sparks joy.
