These last week weekends before the beginning of summer have been a whirl wind of constant travel, school events and therefore, constant laundry. I was joking with some other moms that this time of year is almost crazier than the holidays! Next week is the last week of school and then we are heading out of town to the British Virgin Islands. I still haven’t finalized camps or our summer travels, but have the kids on the waitlist for a couple of camps in Utah with fingers crossed that a rental {that allows dogs} will perfectly align for later in the summer.
Currently, we are experiencing epic May Gray in San Diego. Everyone always complains, but it is my favorite favorite kind of weather, so I’m loving it {and leaning into layered style on my Pinterest boards}.
Thank you for being here, thank you for being you!
- MAXWELL & GERALDINE
- I cannot {and will not} stop talking about how amazing these dresses are. The Brooke and The Beth are my favorite {striped with adjustable straps and in navy with spaghetti straps, respectively}. They are ethically made in a small town in Madagascar, where a majority of the women are single mothers. The women are competitively paid, given access to healthcare coverage for them and their families and have access to 401k. AND they are giving you a 15% off discount with code Hunter15. The Brooke is just as awesome with a bow on top off the shoulder. But my favorite way, is to give the gorgeous striped fabric strap it’s moment and tie a nautical knot at the back by your shoulder blade.
- KOSAS IV GLOW
- the jury is out if I like this under my foundation {I use this. Foundation is misleading; it is more of a skin tint}, or layered on top. That is how good the formula is: it works either way. {I got color “Illuminate.” Also love love love the pigment options for many skin tones. And the packing is 100% recycled, this includes the bottle!}
- PINTEREST
- I’ve been having so much fun getting back into Pinterest. I’ve been taking screen shots every time I like my feed, to give myself a serotonin burst. Find me @navyandorange
- SILK PILLOWCASE
- this is my weekly reminder to get the blogpost written about what I’ve done to change my hair! I’ve always had thin hair strands, but after all the changes with my two preganancies, my hair was thin and sad. Doing this twice a week before washing, using a bamboo brush 2-5 times a week on my scalp, using this hair oil and sleeping on this pillowcase I think must be the perfect formula to get longer, thicker, healthier hair. {I need to find a before photo…}
- FABLETICS LAYERED BRA
- I have this in white, but the black has been sitting in my cart for a while. I love the layered look and that is it medium impact.
