I’m in Ireland! I will share more about my choice to come here with a complete travel guide with our itinerary and anything I would suggest {i.e. a travel guide, insert eye roll emoji} in an upcoming post once our trip is over. In the meantime I want to share that 1. Ireland is pure magic and you must must put it at the top of your travel list asap and 2. Five things that I’m so glad I packed with me!
Hunter Wellies
Immediately when I would tell anyone what we were doing for the big 4-0 and I told them Ireland, they would say, “Why? It’s so rainy!” Well, as I’ve shared as much as an abnormal person talks about the weather, the wet, rainy cold is my favorite weather. One of the many reasons I picked Ireland. But now for more important things: shoes.
Like every other blogger that posted outfit photos in 2010 ish, I have these Hunter wellies. I love them, don’t get me wrong. They have my name on them for goodness sake! But the high leg is not comfortable for long walks and very very bulky to pack. So I had high hopes for these shorter ones {plus I loved the lack of brand name. Regardless of how cool the name is…}. They are beyond comfortable and have given me zero blisters, something I am very prone to, especially with new shoes. I can NOT recommend them enough! I got a US 7/ UK 38, my true size.
Jeans
This is kinda cheating with my ‘Friday Five’ but both pairs have been so popular on clicks and purchasing since sharing them!
The Tripper – Mother Denim
So soft and so comfortable. These have been clicked on and purchased every day that I’ve shared them on the LtK app. My stomach is extremely prone to stomach aches and a sitting with a tight pair of pants doesn’t help. Even after all day in the car driving here, these are still soft and comfortable but still look cool and pulled together. I went up a size to get the cool girl loose denim vibe.
The Perfect Vintage Wide Leg – No, that’s really the name!
These were extremely out of my comfort zone, but I decided that they would be great for fall. I currently have them on while I write this with my favorite under $100 blazer for an easy pulled together look. Plus, they are currently on sale for less expensive than what I got them for during the NSale!
Barn Jacket // Fisherman Cardigan // Hunter Wellies
Navy Barn Jacket
When I first spotted this styled on the website, I was jonesing to move to a place where I could wear coats year round {*cough, Ireland}. Then I realized I needed a good travel jacket for this trip that was a bit better weather prone than the snow winter coat I’ve had since freshman year of college. Sizing note: go down a size!
Chargers
These I 100% did forget to get before the trip, but was able to purchase at the airport {after my amazon order did not come in time}. Don’t be me. Prepare for international travel with the correct plug adapters! I thought a couple would work, but then realized, both my husband and my phones, apple watches, devices and laptops for work and don’t forget my curling iron, we needed a handful!
Caudalie Serum
There is so much beauty items I recently purchased {see my recent Sephora order here} but I’ve really been enjoying this serum, using it for the first time on the airplane! So light and non greasy, quickly adding all other items from this brand on my wish list.
