I realized that I needed flat espadrilles for these photos. When all arrived on the same day, I laughed to myself when my closet floor looked like this. They range from about $60 to over $200. These are my favorite, but these are under $80.

We started a new Mother’s Day tradition with our little family of four: instead of dealing with the crowds on Sunday, we went to one of my favorite places in the world for a Mother’s Day brunch, beating the crowds by an entire day. We had champagne, the kids ran around and we had a chance to have a date. The next day, we hosted a brunch after church for my mom, my mother-in-law and my brother’s mother in law. Meals like this one are exactly what we imagined when we purchased this home.
We had the best time, our first leaving both kids!, heading up to San Francisco to celebrate my brother in laws big birthday. We hung with cousins, slept in and celebrated the birthday boy.

Even though it is an ever present reminder that Global Climate Change is a little too real and eminent, the weather in San Diego is chillier than I ever remember it being in May. So I am loving this pink windbreaker and the proof in this post that white jeans work year around and for all weather.
