LEOPARD TEE – anyone else always feel like they have nothing to wear right before they have to start packing for a trip??? Heading for a family weekend in San Francisco, I started to panic that my closet full of clothes just would not suffice. I headed to go shopping in person which I never do, so you get the idea on my level of panic. I got this leopard flutter sleeve tee after spotting it online and being told, by the sales person, that all stores were selling out of them. I got an XS and the last one in my local store. I also got this striped tee that I imagined with my high waisted jeans, black double breasted blazer and a cashmere sweater around my shoulders. So city, riiiiiight???? {shop the LIKEtoKNOW.it post HERE. Shop the Leopard print trend post HERE.}
SWIMMING GOOGLES – I spotted these endless times at swim lessons and at the pool and they looked awesome. I got these for the kids since Madrid’s swimming and pool confidence has tripled since I convinced her to use googles that I got for her last summer. These ones, the kiddos need a little help putting them on, while traditional ones they can apply themselves.
HIGH WAISTED LEGGINGS – in all fairness, I really got these during the Nordstrom Sale but I finally decided to keep them last week. I wore them for my am workout and then for the rest of the day. I got asked about them by two strangers, while out and about, and my mom and aunt when I met them for lunch. They hit at the perfect length on my ankle and the high waisted cut made me want to put them in the wash ASAP to wear them the next day.
TRAVEL TOYS – since we are traveling three times in the next four weeks, I loaded up on airplane toys. My Toddler Travel Tip: Get a couple of new items, snacks that they love and, without them knowing or seeing, pack them in their backpacks the night {or couple of days before}. I let them carry them through the airport but don’t let them open them until they get in their seats. When Madrid was about 2 and I needed all the energy and focus on Leo since he was months old and breastfeeding, I got these and wrapped each in tin foil. I would pull one out every so often during the flight. She was too young to stay completely focused, and entertained, with watching a movie. Now, at almost 5, I have to check if she is breathing while watching a movie on the plane, it entertains her thoroughly.
CLEAN SUNSCREEN – you never have enough sunscreen, especially in San Diego. I use it on my face, every single day, even in winter. Now with tank tops and my arms being in the sun nonstop, even when driving and running errands, I keep these in all pool bags and strollers to reapply through the day. I just ordered some more. This white and non sticky formula is among my favorite, ever.
