As you saw on Instagram a couple of weeks ago, I was honored to be invited on a trip with the LEXUS team to celebrate and showcase their new model LS, which will be re-released in October. This Lexus Press Trip was beyond and I was so lucky to be included.

To be completely honest, when I first got the invite, I was kind of convinced that they had the wrong person, but I wasn’t about to say no to an awesome opportunity to meet some other Southern Californian influencers and network my face off. As you know, I get a little socially nervous, so I thought that this would be a great exercise in getting out of my comfort zone.

After I set up a bit of an extravagant schedule to get my kids taken care of, I immediately felt like I was on vacation making the drive to the BALBOA BAY RESORT. When I checked in and got my room and schedule of events, I, yet, again, thought that they might have the wrong person because my room was beyond! On the water and with an amazing view, I was more than happy to enjoy a quiet moment on the patio, fight all the urges to resist the gifted bottle of wine in the mini fridge {my first event was a cocktail party, so I thought it would be “unprofessional” to show up a mom on loose!}, and get ready for the cocktail party.

While I hadn’t made any friends, just yet, I wish I had since I wore navy {on brand, duh!} and I matched the amazing 2019 Lexus ES that was the guest of honor and that was parked in the middle of the cocktail party.

My car choices in the past have been based solely on looks, minus my current minivan, but I was ready to figure out how to fit two large car seats and two dogs in this model. It was the sleekest car that I ever sat in and was immediately placed #1 on my list for my post car seat life. Definitely a cool mom car. The presentation started with a look at the front grill, showing how sleek, modern and different it is, making the car stand out and noticeable from all angles. The front grill is aggressive in a sleek way and I love the look, giving a luxury vechile a sporty edge. Plus, you know I love anything that is individual and I have never seen the front grill of a car look like that…not one that I would actually want to drive anyway!

We then went to a dinner with everyone, where we were all blown away by the choices, some of us peer pressured the others to order the burger and everyone was Instagramming their dessert.

I felt beyond spoiled, and while I love my life and family, an entire room {and bed!} to myself is the ultimate luxury. After a morning workout in the BALBOA BAY RESORT gym {small but more than enough space to do any kind of workout you crave}, we had a breakfast where we learned all about the new model LS. This car…has. It. ALL. Massage chairs, check. Sleek and gorgeous design, check. Attention to detail, check. {There are LS and L’s “hiding” all over the design from the back head lights to the steering wheel. As an huge fan of personalization and a great monogram, you know that I loved that detail!} AND, as I am constantly concerned with me reaching behind me for whatever toy or what the kids want causing a safety issue, this car has the most unbelievable safety features. It is literally one teeny tiny step away from driving itself. There are unlimited warning systems in place, including self braking.

After a tour of our cars, we paired off and got to drive up and down the Coast. As a San Diego native, I am embarrassed to say that I have never been to Laguna Beach! The team had a remarkable schedule and map for us to drive, including a bunch of Instagram worthy stops. We meet everyone for lunch at TREVORS AT THE TRACKS in San Juan Capistrano and then to ELLIE’S TABLE for post lunch coffee, where I the above amazing and, amazingly basic, shoe selfie.

I was driving the Lexus LS Hybrid all day and feel in love! This thing makes my minivan feel like a boat! My favorite feature was, obviously, how cool it looked, but also the Heads Up Display. Invisible to anyone else in the car but the driver, you can monitor features of your drive, including your speed, by a display shown in the windshield.

We headed back to the resort as the team was truly spoiling me by scheduling me a blow out at DRY BAR. I headed back to my room to freshen up and call home {the kids did not miss me} and get ready for our last evening together. We had a bag cruise in a duffy boat with a gorgeous cheese plate and some rose before the boat dropped us at the WINERY for dinner. The seafood tower was a big Instagram hit and my dinner was incredible. {I had the salmon special. Basic, yes, but duh. Salmon is a favorite.}

As I have an online presence and one who calls Instagram “work” I am always trying to sneak a picture of my food or the location of our date night and keep my phone in my bag at the table. Being with other bloggers and influencers, it was nice to not be shy about getting that ‘gram!

We ordered a bunch of desserts but I truly think that the creme brûlée was among the best that I ever had! We continued to get photos of each other and headed back to the resort, where I meet up with some of the other bloggers for a drink in the hotel bar.

We had a delicious breakfast the next day before I hit the gym and headed back to my babies.
