If you follow my Instagram or TikTok {both are @navyandorange} and have been for a minute, then you know of my love for Utah. So me being obsessed with The Stanley Cup is no surprise. Plus, I’m a girl between the age of 14-45, so me, like everyone else wanted to get my hands on The Stanley Quencher Cup.
To make a long story short, basically every Utah blogger/influencer {cough, there are a ton of them} has one, or ten, of these so they therefore became popular on social media. With the surge of interest in Utah bloggers {please google : “Mormon Utah TikTok Swinger Drama”}, The Stanley Quencher cup became extremely popular, i.e. very difficult to buy.
I pre-ordered from this link back in August for a January 2023 delivery. But I’ve since tracked them down here and love my Eucaplytus color. The neutrals, Cream, Driftwood and Rose Quartz seem to be the most popular/ the ones you will see on social media the most. I’ve even heard of a limited edition color being sold on a Facebook group for $400! The power of the Utah blogger…and social media…and wanting what you can’t have.
Here are my pros and cons of the cup.
Pros
- A straw: I’m obsessed with my reusable water bottle I got at the Harry Styles concert {duhhhh} but sometimes when driving, I’ve seemed to have forgotten how to drink water and not spill half of it on my front.
- Handle : The handle makes it easy to grab off the exercise bike, the treadmill or in the car.
- Colors: The colors it come in are adorable, fun, joy provoking and anything but expected.
- 1 Liter: I’m trying to keep track of my water intake more, especially as I begin to train for some running races. I love that this cup is a full Liter
Cons
- It’s heavy: even though I’m weight training a couple of times a week, and the handle is helpful, it is still awkward and strangely heavy.
- Surprise to no one, I love my Harry Styles water bottle and have gotten accustomed to being able to see how much water I have drank. {it is a normal Nalgene bottle}. So while The Stanley cup being no surprise is not see through, I have to unscrew the opaque cap to see where I am in my water intake
- It doesn’t keep water all that cold. This Yeti dupe from Target will still have ice in it overnight after putting some in during dinner time the night before. While The Stanley Quencher cup brags that it keep drinks cold for hours, I’m surprised at the warmth of my water sometimes.
- Everyone having one can be a plus and a minus. As we approach flu season, you don’t really want your water getting mixed up with a stranger’s. Again, my Harry Styles Nalgene is used by millions all over the world, and it a great conversation starter. That being said, I did start talking to someone about their Stanley and the conversation quickly did shift to Harry Styles, so this might actually be a plus.
Either way, whatever gets you to hydrate, whatever makes you happy and in a pinch, you can sell your used one on Facebook, apparently.
