Thanksgiving Outfit Inspiration

Somehow, time has played a trick on us all again, and Thanksgiving is this week. Surprisingly, with the craziest fall of my life, now that it is time for the holidays, things are slowing down, by comparison. I am trying my darnedest to not get overwhelmed or distracted and enjoy the experience that I am having. If that is not getting to the laundry but somehow getting a healthy family meal on the table, I’ll take it. If it is like today, where I got a workout in, the kids were happy, but not much else {I even did a Target run and somehow still forgot to think about/plan/ shop for dinner}, then I will take it too.

I am so lucky to have family in my town, so Thursday is going to be really fun and quite relaxed, since we are focusing on Madrid’s birthday and a family 5k. My only plan this week for preparation for the day is to set the table before 4pm on Thursday.

Well, and to decide what to wear. Since I have been at this blogging thing for a minute, I have quite an archive of outfit photos, so I thought I would pull some from the “archives” {do I sound legit when I say that???}, but also wanted to include some of my current Pinterest inspiration.

While there isn’t a ton of time left to shop, you can easily mix things that you already have in your closet. All the photos from Pinterest below make me want to mix things in different textures I already own, even though I already bought this skirt and this sweater to wear on Thursday. {Ummmm, how yummy is the mix of textures and colors in that first pin? In. Love.}

I love the idea of a chunky knit with pretty much anything. So naturally, I have already rushed ordered this oversized navy mock turtleneck and this oversized knit which I plan on wearing with this navy satin skirt that I just scored for under $30! Even if it doesn’t arrive before Thursday, I plan on wearing it with any combination of the sweater in my closet for holiday festivities. Below are more Thanksgiving friendly finds.
