Saturday:
OrangeTheory- taking a break from the treadmill and alternating between the strider {like an elliptical} and the bike
Sunday:
CorePower Yoga Sculpt – life lesson: don’t judge a book by it’s cover: I walked into the studio to be greater by an older {not, like 90, but older than me, could have been my mom}, soft spoken petite lady who checked me in and told me she would be leading the class. I found myself bummed, as I love this type of class, and it really is the only yoga I practice. At CorePower, the yoga sculpt class tends to be techno or high energy music, some light yelling {which I wish there was more of} and strong encouragement to push yourself, both physically and mentally. I immediately found myself thinking that we would probably be listening to music of the 60s and it would be “easy.” Boy, was I wrong. Not only was the playlist among the best and most motivating that I’ve ever had, but the sequence from said soft spoke teacher was anything but easy and kicked my ass. It was among the top 7 best yoga classes I’ve ever, ever taken!
Monday:
Off. – I haven’t taken a day off since I could remember and I have big plans for tomorrow’s workout.
Tuesday:
back to back OrangeTheory classes – This was only my second day with both kids in school, due to Leo’s cold last week. I had a million things to do, but only a minimal time to do them if I was going to go to one OTF class. So…not why not just fill all my time away from the kids with working out. Made sense to me…
This is how I make it happen: in the car at 8:30 am to get the kids to school. 9am- get the kids to school and get to Leo’s class first, drop off his backpack and water. Both kids wash their hands in the classroom in Leo’s room to save time. Group hugs and kisses. 9:10- off to Madrid’s class. Sign her in, drop off lunch and water and hugs again. 9:15am running to the carpark, no chatting with friends to make it to class on time. 9:29am – jog into class and be excited to be there for the next 2 hours. 9:30am-10:30am CLASS #1 10:40am-11:40am CLASS #2, stretch, quickly and back in the car by 11:45am to get back to pick up Leo by 12pm!
Wednesday:
6am OrangeTheory class
Thursday:
OrangeTheory class {just one!} after drop off and I spent the rest of the time running errands
Friday:
6am OrangeTheory – only now, that I’m writing this down, do I realize how bananas this workout schedule is.
Saturday:
Sweat App: I didn’t even know this, but I completed 12 weeks of Fierce 2.0 on the Sweat App. This is a bit more weight lifting than the tradition BBG program, but I love it for days that I don’t get to a class. Then I don’t really have to talk myself into much and can just follow the exercises and kind of zone out but still get a great workout. I just change some of the exercise if I am working out at home. For example: If I am at home, instead of at the gym, and it calls for a tricep dip, I will do this on the edge of this. If it calls for a bench tricep dip, yet I’m at the gym, then I will do a tricep pull down on the pulley system.
