Top 10 Favorites from August

These posts are truly my favorite to put together: to find out your top favorite items and favorites from August. While I have so many items that I would like to include in daily swipe ups, I also want to give you items that are useful to  your life. Better stuff, not more stuff. So these monthly roundups by looking at the most clicked on and purchased items from the LIKEtoKNOW.it app, the quinessentials blogger “Swipe Up!”s, and from links on here, I am able to compile YOUR favorites from the month before.

H STYLE SANDALS

If you want a first row seat on overpriced shoes, pull up a chair right next to the Hermes Oran Sandal. A blogger and Instagram staple, I splurged, in every sense of the word, on these during my second pregnancy, as a “summer pregnancy shoe.” I decided I needed them, and further more, deserved them and I have never looked back.

Now, I am kicking myself, just a little bit, since there are so many dupes out there and you can get the look for the tiniest fraction of the cost. I am not about plagerizing fashion, but I AM all about wearing what you like. These shoes are chic and go with bikinis as much as cashmere sweater, if you live somewhere, like me, that you don’t look like you’ve lost your marbles if you indeed wear sandals with sweaters.

I had to check out these dupes, especially since they were the most clicked on and purchased item for August. While the quality is not up to the original, they do give you the same look, for about $600 less.

NAVY SMOCKED TANK

I get DMs about this top every time I post it, asking for tips and tricks to shop for clothes on Amazon. I have been extremely lucky and have only had to return one item.

While the fabric and quality of this top would more chances than not, fall under “fast fashion,” I have already worn it countless times, washed it, it still looks like new and it brings me joy. When it no longer looks like the supreme deal that it was at $18, I will donate it to H&M, which accepts clothing pieces to be broken down and used again in their fabrics, so at not to create new fabrics and contributing to “fast fashion.” Read more about it HERE. and I donate wearable clothing to San Diego AM vets. schedule a pick up HERE.

BLACK SMOCKED TOP

Speaking of fast fashion, I bought this thinking I would get an Instagram or two out of it and then resell it {on Poshmark, username @navyandorange} or gift it to a girlfriend. Yet, it is truly the top that won’t stop! I’ve worn it to a cowboy bar in Wyoming, a date night in San Diego, a moms’ night out and even beach side in Mexico. I love the fit, you never go wrong with black and, most importantly, how I feel in it! It is girly and fun, yet conservative, just how I like my, well, everything!

Leopard always makes me think of fall. I loved that this year, it made an early come back and that I finally had the balls to jump on board. { See my ‘Try the Trend’ series HERE, with pieces for $100 and under.} This top has since sold out, but I love this take on leopard with, duh!, navy!

LIP MASK

This will be front and center in an upcoming blog post about travel skincare, since I am now, practically an expert after our world wind summer. I love that you will feel like you have Angelina Jolie lips in the morning after applying it and the high gloss and light pink look, if worn during the day.

LACK OF COLOR FEDORA

A constant fan favorite! I love that y’all love this hat! It sells out quickly online and I would say check the measurements for your head. I wear a Large. That size was always sold out online, so if you are looking, like me, for your large head, or maybe you don’t want to pay that price, check out poshmark! That is wear I got mine for less than reatail and in a Large!

NAVY POLKA DOT HOODIE

This might be an early proclamation, but this might be my proud fall fashion find. I think it will be adorable when {please soon!} it cools down, with leggings or jeans. I might even get crazy over here, and pair it with heels and skinny jeans for date night. {If I was going to Fashion Week, I would 100% pack this as a back up outfit for the comfort factor alone.}

The Etsy find of the century! Very Kate Middleton hat-band vibes and I am excited to wear this once I am not petrified of the sun and constantly in an oversized hat.

LION TEE

A blogger favorite that I finally gave into. {Check out Kara’s post about the brand HERE.} I don’t know why, but I really love this tee. Maybe it is because I am a snob, and love that I am wearing an extremely overpriced tee. Maybe I love it because it makes me feel like the cool mom that I’m not. Either way, to me, fashion should make you feel good and happy. This overpriced tee does both.

DOUBLE BREASTED BLAZER

Blazers are my spirit animal and my go-to. You can wear them to brunch or the boardroom, as part of a suit or with cut offs. Blazers. Are. My. Thang. And I love that this one is under $90 and the quality is SOOOOO good. Guys, like, seriously. I am in love with this blazer and the quality. I have it in three colors and wear a M. Size up. {and oh emmm geee, they just added these colors and I’ve been drooling over the Meghan Markle Hunter Green since last fall…}

    There are certainly plenty of particulars like that to take into consideration. That could be a nice level to deliver up. I provide the thoughts above as normal inspiration however clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where an important factor can be working in trustworthy good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, however I’m sure that your job is clearly recognized as a good game.
