Many of you might not know about or understand engagement rate, but it is a percentage to calculate “engagement” of your followers. You take comments and likes and divide by number of followers. This give you your engagement rate. So these photos are the ones that {I’m assuming} you liked the most from November, due to their high engagement rates.
If you are in the Instagram game yourself, that you are aware that a lot more depends on the photo, number of likes and comments and your followers. It depends on the type of content, hashtags and time of day as well as day of the week. While I love numbers and statistics, these numbers can even make me dizzy. When this happens, I take a step back, and a deep breath, and remember that this little space started as a creative outlet that lead me to joining a community of inspiration.
Therefore, I love to share what IG posts did “the best” from the previous month. While I am fully aware that November was 2 months ago, I never got around to doing this post last month, due to gift guides.

1. Fernando
Fernando really doesn’t like social media but can appreciate that it is part of my j-o-b. So while I won’t be blocking out his face in adorable posts like this one, I also won’t be sharing screen time with him in all my IG stories.
But on a different note, how great is this party dress? The long sleeves have been perfect these last couple of months and I have more than gotten fair use out of it. I wore it on a night in Italy for our Michelen Star date night, to this winter wedding, to church and for holiday events. Love! And pretty excited to order this similar one and this short sleeve version.
As you saw in this Thanksgiving Outfit Inspiration post, you can often get inspired to shop your own closet when you need something to wear. Combine things you have’t worn together before or look to Pinterest for classic outfit inspiration.
I really had in my head to have a monochromatic sweater and leather skirt situation a la Meghan Markle, so I was thankful to find this skirt and sweater on major deal.
3. Madrid
My pretty pretty little princess. And how dreamy is that table? I have a fairy Godmother {no, really!} and this was her set up for a lunch at her house. Fun fact: Madrid is wearing a dress of mine from when I was her age.
4. Blazer
This blazer and cashmere look has been on maaaaajor repeat. {I actually wore a smilier combo to church today and have it on now!} The blazer is such a great deal and so so chic. I just ordered this new color way. Size up in the blazer, especially if layering cashmere. I got a M.
The Spanish Steps are among my favorite places in the world. I am not sure if it was a major part of my Italian experience when I nannied there a summer in high school or if it is because I am a basic American tourist. Either way, whenever people ask for recommendations about Rome, I always recommend sitting on the Spanish steps and people watching. Grab a bottle of wine from a corner store and don’t miss the end of work day crowd, around 6pm.
The look on your face when your kids are happily with your mom and mother in law, the house is spotless, the bags are in the driveway, waiting for the uber, you know where your passports are and you are about to go to Italy for two weeks!
I refuse to be one of those people who travel in athleisure or sweats, no matter how chic, but I still wanted to be comfy. This crop tee is one of those things that I have in every color: it is comfy, great with high waisted jeans and with a black blazer, comfy but chic.
